Unit 2 of Babibalu coal-fired power station in Indonesia was successfully connected to the grid

On March 30th, Unit 2 of the Indonesian Babi Bul coal-fired power station, built by China Energy Construction Gezhouba Group, was successfully connected to the grid.


Since the handover of Unit 1 on March 5 this year, all the staff of the project department actively coordinated resources, successfully completed the maintenance of the engine and electrical, timely solved the problem of the start-up process of the grid connection, strictly controlled the quality and ensured the success of the grid connection.


It is reported that the Babibalu coal-fired power station project (2×50 MW) is the first thermal power EPC project implemented by China's Gezhouba Group in Indonesia, and is also an important part of the company's implementation of the “Belt and Road Initiative” initiative. The project is located in the northwestern part of West Kalimantan, Indonesia and is an important part of the Indonesian National Grid. After the project is completed, it will effectively alleviate the tight supply of electricity in West Kalimantan, Indonesia.
